Here's a wider one to whet the appetite. No lighting here either. Just brutal high contrast.

    Wow. Stunning!

Here's a two and a half-minute quick-n-dirty grade in CS5.5 AE using just Red Giant Colorista II

And just for kicks my "make it look like 5DmkII" template on top of that grade.

Dreaded white walls, hot spots, and extremely hot outside... the DR is lookin' dreamy.

Saying prayers for every last measurement after the FPN/Noise is tuned.

And hey…a tiny bit of noise isn't a bad thing, either.

I actually agree with you. I love a camera to have "personality".

Tiny bit of noise is fine, indeed. Excessive noise in mids and FPN is a different story altogether, at least to me. I personally take comfort in knowing that the noise levels and the FPN represented in the still is from a beta camera. Should only get better.

Just for grins, here's a completely different, more clinical pass on the same image. Tried to pull detail out of the highlights and shadows, abandoned warmth for balance. Hard to do with a jpg, but just wanted to try. Wound up looking awfully sterile in comparison.

Of course we'll have a much better idea when we can look at a CinemaDNG but I absolutely had to have a go at this!
