Gotta be honest, I just received my MfT camera a month ago at the old price and I'm happy with what I paid for it. Great that people can now get their hands on one for so much cheaper and yes the extra $1,000 in my pocket would be useful, but I thought the BMCC was a great price at the time.

Well done BMD for making the entry level easier - just please sort out the audio in the next firmware update!

Never buy a camera as an investment, a camera is a tool, if you want to invest look into the stock market. Blackmagic just blessed the independent community with this bold move.

Itīs business, I know. But itīs also big eager. Received my MFT on Monday. 5 days later it has lost a third. A lot of companies do offer a grace period.

Wow. $2000! Anyone buying a 5D3 at $1000+ more is now officially nuts.

Still, the most exciting thing in that email (to me) is the line:

"new de-bayer processing that will improve the cameras sharpness when shooting non RAW".

This is in regard to the BMCC and a coming update "soon".

The new price is great. You still get the full Da Vinci license. Which means that the BMCC effectively costs the same as the pocket cam, which come with the free version of Da Vinci.
