Now this is what I've been waiting for. After the thunderbolt versions came out last year, I hoped they would have a solution for the rest of us.

I really liked the idea of an affordable monitoring solution - I don't need capture. And to get SDI and HDMI previously meant spending $700 on the Decklink Studio. $145 is much easier to swallow, giving me a single HDMI and single SDI out.

I was just about to pull the trigger on an Intensity Pro and give up on SDI. Glad I waited for NAB.

I'm sort of confused by one of the specs, though. It says it needs a PCIe 4x slot to work, but the picture clearly shows a 1x card. I should be able to manage if it is 4x, but I don't understand how it could need more lanes than the Decklink Studio, Optical Fiber, or SDI. And again, the picture is clearly a 1x card. Hoping it's just a typo.

One for each tower on a larger shoot would be great.

Amid all the other stuff I was excited for this and their Smart Scope Duo A pretty affordable way to have a real scope solution for a grading suite.

It says it's 3G-SDI. I thought the whole point of 3G-SDI was for 4:4:4 output?

Can anybody recommend a economic but pretty decent 23/24" monitor with hdmi input for this card? I wanted to use it with my Dell 2407WFP but that one has only dvi in

You can get a cheap HDMI->DVI adapter or even a cable that is likely to work on your DVI monitor.
