Hey guys,

I'm going to LA and San Francisco in the end of the month on vacation and wanted to check a good lens store with vintage stuff, like Contax Zeiss. Any suggestions?

Sammy's - In LA - 431 S Fairfax Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90036
In SF - 1090 Bryant St, San Francisco, CA 94103

Been to a ton of used camera gear stores in LA. Their lens selection has never impressed me. Ebay is your best option imo

The last best camera store in SF, Adolph Gasser's, closed their doors a couple years ago, not much soul left in the peninsula.

In the North Bay in San Raphael you've got Seawood Photo. You can take a Ferry from Market street in SF to Larkspur, from there it's a 10 minute Uber to the store.

Camera West in the East Bay is a decent spot though Leica-Centric. Take the BART to Walnut Creek and from there it's a 20 min walk.

There is a.so a Sammy’s Camera in LA and SF. However the LA store has more pre-owned equipment, than the SF store.
Yes, it was a sad day when John closed Gasser’s Photo, this was a SF institution for more than 50 years.
