    all the pro lenses from Olympus have a manual focus clutch feature which makes them react linearly like "proper" manual focus (ie no fly by wire variable crap) - not enough focus throw by half but still much better than not having it

    Yes, the clutch is nice, but it is still Focus by Wire, with stops at each end added, along with some dampening on the focus ring.
    The only Oly FT lens with true mechanical manual focus was the 14-35 f/2.0 Fiur Thirds Pro Zoom, and it is parfocal too. All th MFT versions have electronically controlled focus, no true manual mechanical focus.
