Hey Everyone! I am kinda of a newbie around here. I have been lurking for years, just reading and learning, but held off on joining until I had something to add to the conversation. I recently picked up a used BMCC because I just loved the look of the footage and wanted it for my next project. During my test shoots I tried some different luts that I have had for sometime, but they were not quite right for the look I wanted for this film. I then stumbled on Frank's "Instant Cinema" lut and gave it a try. It was just the look I was after for this project. So I wanted to say thank you to Frank for sharing this LUT with the community. And thanks to community for sharing information on here. It is very helpful to a newbie like me. It is helpful to be able to stand on the shoulders of other talented people who have paved a path for us all. Now I am no professional colorist by any means, so please keep that in mind, but I am pretty happy with the look I got on this new short film "Atonement."

Here are a few grabs from the short. I will keep you posted when there is more to share.

    Hi Frank,
Two years since you released this beast out in the wild and I wanted to thank you again so much for that. I just finished grading my third feature film with that and I love it! it is the best LUT ever!
    Thanks a bunch!

    Eli.

Here you go... This feature film was shot last November in chronological order over 8 days in NY with DIY anamorphic lenses (3 lenses) I built over the last 2 years. There was no script involved and the movie's dialogue was totally improvised.
