What cinema camera would you drop on purpose?
+ True anamorphic mode
Cinematic is not the camera. It's everything in front of the camera that either exists or it does not. I've seen cinematic iPhone footage.
I was shooting a clip on a Lumix lens, original battery, SD card, when the camera shut off, even though the battery level showed over 50% remaining. I figured I'd swap batteries and throw on the...
Lensrentals.com has them all for rent, if you do get stuck.
Oh man! Great project, sir. Thank you for sharing. I'll tuck this away in my brain for when I may need it down the road.
I have a set of screw-on 77mm ND filters I've used on the P4K and the old pocket and 2.5k. The IRND is 1.2. The ND's are .6 and .9. I've used them on multiple exterior daylight shots so far and had...
Yes. I did. $12 for a phone app is on the high end. How much time he spent isn't on anyone's mind when they make a purchase decision.
Very well documented. Always mounts if I power up the camera and then attach the SSD.
That Android app is pretty lacking for the high price tag. Might force me to create one to fill the gap.
That aspect ration would be wonderful for nature-focused shorts or other concepts that cover wide areas. A massive battle scene would be amazing!
I have to disagree. I've shot a ton of my BMCC 2.5K with Veydras and now two projects on the P4K with the same glass and I LOVE what the new pocket gives me over the Cinema Camera. It's a more...
The framing was intentional. Guess it didn't work for you.
We shot this 60 second short film for the Filmstro / Film Riot 60 second short film contest. Shot 4:1 Raw on the new Pocket 4K using the 12, 35, and 50 Veydra cine primes. Post completed in Davinci...
Too bad you didn't include a Veydra
All reviews so far say the camera falls below the flagship phone cameras in most regards.
Amen to that
"So I doubt you can convince other people who feel like the OP or me that we should like the P4K's image more for all the reasons you listed."
Who's here to convince anyone of anything? There are...
If you aren't passionate, why bother?
We're verging on trolling territory now.
Fair point. I guess I'd expect discussion, not pure opinion. People that plan to never use the camera because it doesn't do x as well as camera y really are just a waste of everyone's time and energy.
Are Blackmagic cameras the only ones where people feel compelled to spew their opinions and sadness because xx isn't the way it was on a different camera, and they demand their expectations be met...
A lens support/clamp that ties to your rail works well. Veydra makes one that fits all of their lens bodies.
I really don't think anyone here cares what you use. I know I don't. I love the camera. I find it every bit as "cinematic" as my BMPCC and 2.5K. To each his own. Why are you pleading here? If you...
Just shot a short on the 4K with my Veydras and I love the look. If it looks too sharp then blame your glass and cinematography. Sure, HD hides a lot of that, but the weakness isn't the camera.
